I massage my dog the stretch her back leg her hip got rammed by a sheep before…
I did this to my dog. She has HD and CES, so she has major issues at that area. I was doing it very, very gentle but she was NOT liking it at and i stopped because she cried out. Is this a sign that its very sore and i should work on it with her or leave it completely be ?
I suspect this has been damaged (ruptured?) in my 13 year old Lab. Vet did a TPLO which resulted in SEVERE pivot-shift phenomenon. So, a month later vet did an Extracapsular Lateral Suture Stabilization. Condition worsened. One month later infection seemed probable. So, one month later vet explanted all TPLO and ELSS hardware. Culture results confirmed ELSS crimp had been contaminated during implant with staphylococcus bacteria. Antibiotics. No improvement. More antibiotics. Custom made orthotic brace being made. Four months and $12,000.00 later, no improvement.
Hello Adam, I take care of a few strays where I live. Feed, vaccines, spaying, manage cuts and scrapes etc.
One of them was injured somewhere around the hip región, maybe the lower spine, that caused some nerve compression, which causes her to lose a lot of mobility in her right hind leg.
I took her home for a couple of months so she was able to give her injury some rest, in addition to some exercises/physiotherapy and medicines to help her manage the pain she was in. Xrays showed no bone abnormalities or fracturas. She is one year old. I released her back with her pals and she is domingo much better now, running around and playing, but she Stiller has a slight limp which the vet says will get better with time.
She now has a golf Ball sized muscle knot right where you showed the oblique muscle and is painful to the touch.
Is there some way I can send you a couole of pictures and maybe some videos, so you could perhaps help me help her heal faster?
How to tell the difference between hip vs knee pain
My dog is walking with his back legs wide apart, other than that no other symptoms. He runs fine. He climbs stairs and is playful not lethargic. It has been several months since this has happened. What to do?
THANK YOU FOR THIS INFORMATION!!!
YOU just literally SAVED me a $5000.00 trip to AMC ER, and my dog a lot of pain, suffering, unnecessary anesthesia and X-rays and God only knows what else. I’m SO grateful I found this video!! My dog woke up incredibly stiff and in pain. He refused to stand up without a lot of help. Could not walk and peed on himself shaking in pain. I was terrified. Vet said he needed emergency appointment. Before going in I tried this and after 5 mins of doing the massage release he took off RUNNING! It brought tears to my eyes 🥲 he’s totally fine now! Thank you X1000🙏❤️ YHWH bless you 🕊️
Having a really hard time finding this on my Dachshund mix who is suffering from IVDD. His back is super hunched and hind legs stiff and weak. He’s on muscle relaxers (methocarbamol), anti-inflammatory (Carpeofen) and pain meds (GabGabapentin) – he can walk for a bit but is so stiff. The part that throws me off is describing it as a “sausage like” I feel something more thin and flat that seems to look like the picture diagram but am not sure. It’s very tight though. 🤷🏻♂️ I just want him to suffer and it’s been 6 days now with no improvement. I’m not sure if it’s the meds making him so unstable or the nerve pain but As I was trying to do this exercise he seemed to respond to it even though it didn’t improve his stiffness. Really appreciate your vids tho and just trying to give the best care I can. Thx
How extremely helpful and informative. I would imagine you have helped thousands of animals from your personal practice and the knowledge you are sharing with the world here. Thank You 🙏
Bet.
Will you show a variation of this for dogs who can’t use their back legs? My dog is partially paralyzed, so she can’t stand up
Just tried on my 13 year old Lab instantly helped
Thank God ❤
God bless you doggy ❤️
TY, honest and straight to the point of us attempting to find. Your soul glows
My dog has some hind limp leg pain issues and after slowly massaging the area and trying to stretch it and release it, she finally stopped fighting me and went limp in that leg. She seemed releived and thanked me with licks
Wonderful revelant information here on dog body work.
Can’t believe that they want as much for an animal x-ray as a human x-ray or more even.
Lol seems like the dog didn’t really like that second one
Is the psoas muscle responsible for internal rotation of the rear legs on a puppy about 7 months?
How often can/should I do this? My 7 year old Female Siberian Husky suffers from Bilateral Iliopsoas pain. She has had Bilateral TPLO surgeries and since then her lumbar/psoas has had issues.😢
I like your living room setup. The TV seems a bit out of place, do you use it semi-regularly? Oh, and this video was nice, thanks for posting it
Found this video after spending close to 9k on treatments and an MRI as vets thought my dog had IVDD. He did not and it’s a soft tissue injury so I’m going to try this!! Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this
Man you a life saver my dog wouldn’t lay down from the pain I did what you showed within 2 min he played down thank you thank you
Hey I am confused bout the same..the puppy is 2.5 months old everything was good till 2 days back. Then all of a sudden the puppy started screamin when we touch him near the tail and the whole back bone. The guy eats, drinks and walks all good although less than previous. Is it the same problem or something else?
