My poodle LOVES frozen turkey necks. They keep her busy for 30-40 minutes and replace one of her meals

Donโ€™t use toys from china. Like poison. Cancer risk as well as other chemicals! Do some research for safe toys

My dog chews Bully Sticks up in 5 minutes. They are expensive for just 5 minutes. There is never half a bully stick, cause she consumes them. She loves antlers and it takes weeks for her to chew them up. The Himalayan Yak Cheese lasts a long time too. All of these are great options, but Bully Sticks are too expensive. I will pay more for one treat that last longer than a 25 dollar pack of four Bully Sticks. I stopped giving her raw bones cause I don’t want decaying raw meat on my sofa.

No bearing bones like marrow bones for the teeth.
If your dog is just lick them itโ€™s ok but a biter can permanently harm the teeth.

Where did you buy your โ€œmarrow boneโ€?

  7. @Irishwabbit59 on October 30, 2024 at 3:01 pm

In my adult dogs they eat from bowls occasionally with bowl exercises, but rest of meals are their kibble soaked filled and frozen. They enjoy the fun they have, it gives me time to eat my meals and since I work from home it is convenient

  8. @colossusX1 on October 30, 2024 at 3:06 pm

where do you get the antlers?

  9. @marcyeverest589 on October 30, 2024 at 3:06 pm

I get marrow bones (frozen) at the grocery store. Very affordable and easy to store. ๐Ÿ™‚

Mine are really into beef cheeks…dehydrated…similar to bully sticks and can be stinky.

I highly recomend the bully stick holder on amazon! I got one before we even got our puppy. Then they never choke on that last inch or so. Our will just carry the bully stick holder around for days and it satisfies him. Also we do the Kong with peanut butter but I need to try to soft food. Does anyone have a specific place they lick their kongs and bully sticks. Ours now gets it all over

Question. How long is it safe you food to stay inside the kong once it comes out the freezer. I have a puppy a cavalier and donโ€™t want her to get bellyache

What do you do with the marrow bone if the puppy doesnt finish it the first time? Freezer or refrigerator?

Frozen food filled Kong… Anyone have feedback on how messy that gets? Is this an outside move only?

  21. @dylano7242 on October 30, 2024 at 3:15 pm

They all have problems. Man made are made from plastics, silicate, plastics have long term health problems.
Bones with marrow can have diseases, from diseased cows and spread disease and cancer, and lead to splinters in the mouth, gut, colon that need surgery to remove.
Bone morrow carries all kinds of diseases , and animals not fit for human consumption are used in animal feed often are infected all kinds of diseases.

7:20 IMHO, Kong Wobbler is the bomb for reinforcement; my boy has been known to destroy even black kong ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
Simpawtico suggests filling Kong Classic with kibble from daily portion, add water, and then freeze; would assist in keeping costs down.

These products are what I am giving or going to give to my pup in the future(because she is just a little puppy now so some of them are too hard). I mainly use kong or kong like product, filling partial of her daily food or fruits and veggies. It works amazing. And I will give fish skin after night walk just to calm her down before bed. Plan to give bully stick or yak chew after the teething phase since she is not a tough chewer at all right now. Very good list. Everything is just natural products!

I donโ€™t even like dogs but I like your videos

  25. @SherioCheers on October 30, 2024 at 3:18 pm

I have to take the shape into consideration. IF my dog can get a hold on chews he’ll eat it in hard chunks gulp gulp gulp. I buy things his short arms can’t really get a purchase on so they keep him busy

  26. @meridithanderson8496 on October 30, 2024 at 3:19 pm

I recently bought a back of cow hoofs. Not that expensive and all 3 dogs love chewing on them. They’ll chew for 30-45 min. They are quite stinky so we make sure they are across the room or outside when chewing. Plus they don’t make marks on the cream colored carpet.

  27. @Beth-qs5mu on October 30, 2024 at 3:19 pm

Our first German Wirehaired Pointer chewed the largest extreme black kong in two pieces in 5 minutes before my eyes!! Fastest 25$ I ever lost!! None of our other wirehairs have ever done that and we have used the kongs a lot ๐Ÿ˜‚

  28. @MarcellaLazic on October 30, 2024 at 3:21 pm

My 4yo American bully almost ALWAYS manages to break the raw bone and eat it awell as the marrow (nothings cooked, just raw stuff) idk how he does it

  29. @cricketnylund7329 on October 30, 2024 at 3:23 pm

I used marrow bones for my lab and filled kongs I feel they are best, now using with my 9month old Malinois heโ€™s a chewer . But I loved hearing you really promote this as well ๐Ÿค—

My pupโ€™s vet says that to be safe (and avoid dog breaking their teeth), avoid anything so hard that you canโ€™t press your thumb into it. We used to go with yak cheese sticks daily but now switched over to roll-up rawhides and puppy loves them even more.

  31. @truecynic1270 on October 30, 2024 at 3:26 pm

Tip about the Tibetan cheese stick : when it gets down to what is too short for your dog, put it into the microwave for about 1 minute or 1 1/2 minutes. It will puff right up!! Let it cool and its makes, NOT a long chew, but a nice cheesy chew for some minutes (maybe 15?) Some of the cheese stays gooey inside. I buy two of these per month – yes, because of the cost. I have a local butcher who both smokes bones and sells them raw. I only get the beef knuckle but have bought cross-cut ( exposing the marrow) smoked leg bones – satisfied his chewing. Thank you for your info!

I don’t like anything that may splinter… it’s a huge risk, and can create life threatening issues in regards to their throat and intestines.

  34. @omegafighters on October 30, 2024 at 3:28 pm

I like this puzzle feeder thing. You fill it up with dry food and it rolls around and drops a few pieces of dry food at a time. Maybe not every dog will like it, but it’s another "work for your food" one.

  35. @toogto on October 30, 2024 at 3:28 pm

I make frozen marrow bone ๐Ÿ˜‹ my dog absolutely loves it ๐Ÿ˜œ I make 3 bones every night and I stuf it whit mix ingredients ,,, lever som cheese some dry food I put in water before stuffing it ,,, peanut butter ๐Ÿ˜œ so he get 3 frozen marrow bone ๐Ÿ˜‹ every day and he loves it ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹

All my dog ever got out of a Kong was a sore tongue. It’s a ridiculous "toy".

  37. @tennesseehusky on October 30, 2024 at 3:34 pm

FYI, with marrow bones and all bones you do have to worry about dogs cracking their teeth. Cracking a molar, slab fracture, is going to cost a lot of money to fix, can easily cost $500 to $1,000 or more. I use to give my dogs bones until I started working as a vet tech, I saw too many cases of broken/cracked teeth to continue giving my dogs bones. This may never happen with your dog but if it does, it’s something you’ll always remember. By the way, big fan of this site and this dude knows his shit. I own a Rotti and my go to is the Bully Stick.

I found with my puppy to make sure it is the right size my black mouth cur has a medium size I made a mistake giving her a black one that’s a large she got half her jaw stuck

  39. @1master6 on October 30, 2024 at 3:36 pm

Put those fish skins in an airtight container with the other not so smelly chews. Everything in the container will smell like them. โค

Love this! I have a four month old pup and we just started giving him bully sticks. He loves them but even these start to get a little pricey for daily use. I am excited to try the Kong method and see how he responds! Thank you for the advice!

  41. @takeoverjupiter on October 30, 2024 at 3:38 pm

I have tried EVERYTHING out there. These are my favorites! My dog also LOVES rolled beef cheeks. Good for dogs that like leather things to chew on. 10 for long lasting and 10 for safety IMO.

  45. @juliehoot3916 on October 30, 2024 at 3:47 pm

My miniature poodle rescue loves her Kong with nothing in it. So far the only toy she can’t destroy.

  46. @sheilasneddon6205 on October 30, 2024 at 3:47 pm

What do you do with resources guarding? We used to give our dog your top 3 chew toy pick, and that is when his resources guarding started. We have had to stop giving them to him. He has gotten better with training, but he is still not good with treat like that.
