I had two Dyson v11 animal vacs. I really liked them until they stopped working. The first one lasted a year and a half, and the second one lasted 8 months. I had two LG cordzeros. I loved those vacuums better than Dyson even. The first one lasted six months and the second one just died on me after three months. I bought them all at costco, and I returned them all to Costco and got a full refund thanks to their amazing return policy. I have three cats who shed quite a bit. Now I believe I’m going to be purchasing an upright corded vac. The only problem is I believe they are all too heavy for me since I have back problems. I really don’t know what I am going to do, because I am convinced that these companies believe in planned obsolescence. Does anyone know of any corded vacs that are not more than 12 pounds?
Does the Dyson V11 Animal work well on soft(er) carpet? Most of the vacuums I’ve used are very hard to push and pull and gets stuck on carpet. 🙁
I have had 2 dyson stick vacs an both died after 3 years, not good at all for the over the top prices they charge
Great review!
Question, with the dyson would you use the soft roller to clean pet hair on hard floor?
I know a house cleaner that swears by Hoover’s ONEPWR Evolve Pet vacuum. Did you consider testing them, and what are your overall feelings about Hoover? They’ve certainly been in the business a LONG time, and they’re very affordable. Curious what you think?
I didn’t see any verdict as to how the Dyson V10/V11 worked on the rave hair. Any thoughts?
Doing a vacuum research cram sesh before I commit to the vacuum bit as it were. *slaps folding chair off porch to add dad joke magic* so far y’all have been the most entertaining/ informative combo🎉🎉so thank you for that!
It’s a shame you’re recommending Shark considering their frankly appaling quality and level of repairability. It’d be nice to see you test some bagged machines

NO I don’t think you guys get it…. for example, my Dyson pet hair vacuum works fine when I 1st start on the house…However long into it is when it starts clogging, alerting off and on, and I have to constantly clean the filter and head multiple times every cleaning. You just can’t review a vacuum (when it comes to pet hair) with just a few minutes of use after dropping some clumps of fur on the floor. The fur builds up and then bogs it down. GO FIND a lived in pet household due for a cleaning and vacuum it from start to finish. THEN you can reliably review your vacuums. BETTER YET, is if you reviewed on a MULTIPLE pet household.
3am watching this. From australia you guys are adorable x.
Amazing review, thanks!
Do you happen to have a video on the Samsung cordless vacuums? Are those any good? What about for pet hair?
It’s interesting how literally everyone just drops pet hair on carpet but don’t rub it in so we can truly see how effect each vacuum would work in real life cleaning situations but I do like that you guys did it for the sand so you have made me very interested in buying the dyson 😁
Wow! This is so cool. New sub 😁 Thank you Parwaz786 for sharing ✌🏼
At the end of the day, you need something like a shop vac that won’t release dust inside the house out the back. This being for a tile wood floor with fur on it. The brushes just clog up. Once you have like 2-3 dogs that shed, the fur is usually not dry and has oil, at that point you basically need a industrial style vac, all these are good for dust but they will not long term work well.
Shark Rotator link doesn’t work.
I have a Dyson outsize and it was great at first and now a year later doesn’t work well at all. It’s a shame because it was really expensive. It’s out of warranty so now I have an expensive piece of junk.. won’t buy another Dyson again. They’re not made for longevity anymore.
I appreciate the video! Featuring Robin Williams and Garth (Wayne’s world)
A bigger catch basin the better
Words cannot express how excited I am to have discovered you guys OMG! As a fellow nerd with a huge special interest in vacuums this channel is like an actual dream come true.
Why no Bissell vacuums????
You have worn white uniforms. So I will believe everything you say.
I purchased a pet hair vacuum, the Dyson, after watching the Video and I paid so much money for it, over five hundred dollars and it doesn’t work like in the video. After having it for 1 year, it started having problems and getting plugged all the time with so little pet hair and not picking up as I would have expected. The vacuum plugs up all the time and I have to stop and clear it up. I sweep the floor first, than I go over the floor with the Dyson vacuum to pick up the dust. It defeats the purpose of having a vacuum. Maybe I just got a bad Dyson, and maybe there are others that might say it works great for them. Too expense for me not to work after a year.

The Dyson V11 affiliate link leads to three different Dyson V11 vacuums. The one in the video is said to be the V11 Animal, but I’m seeing in other places that only the V11 Torque Drive and V11 Outsize have the digital display showing the number of minutes left on the battery. Meaning, that the V11 Animal does not have it. Your video is the most recent one published on the Dyson V11 Animal (among the ones I’ve watched), so I am wondering if the V11 Animal now has the digital "timer" display. Of the three vacuums shown via the affiliate link, which one should I purchase to match the one in your video? Thank you in advance.
How come you didn’t test the Dirt Devil Pet Pro?
How did you not put shark stratos in the list…?
The thing I don’t like about shark is they continue to make the vacuums harder and harder to work on. Lots of the other brands sell parts or can at least be disassembled, not the shark. Not even a simple thing like the belt that runs roller. Once your 400 dollar vacuum has a part failure well… time to spend another 400 and expect the same failure in however long. I went through 3 shark vacuums, all had the same failure, I’ve since moved on to other brands because I just can’t condone something that doesn’t offer wear parts.
Where’s the 2023 corded ‘sticks’ for hardwood
everything made now is basically a throw way after 2-3 years. i have top of the line shark vertex and roborock s7max. they both do great. using roborock 90% of the time and shark once every months. nothing picks up dog hair like my bissell pet proheat 2x carpet shampooer. the double brush roll picks up hair even after vacuuming with the previous mentioned vacs. nothing can beat standard brushes for pet hair
Are black and deceker powerseries extreme good for pet hair on tiles?
Top picks for pet hair in 2023: Dyson V11 for cordless, Shark Apex and Rocket for corded. Great options for every budget!
more like "mostly advertised company for vaccuum in 2023 and how we rank them". products from dyson and shark are trash.
Would love to see this for robot vacuums. I got the Shark AI that is supposed to have a self cleaning brush roll like the Shark Navigator/Apex, but it doesn’t work nearly as well as the stand up vacuums.
Bought a shark from Amazon and then it stop working
I live in an apartment with two labradors and a cat and I’ve just finished filling the forms for servicing my Dyson V12 Slim. It’s my third cordless vacuum in the last 5 years, after a Dirt Devil and a Bosch Athlet ProAnimal. They all work great for the first couple of months, then the fine dust starts to clog the internal airways and you start losing suction power or, in the case of the Dyson, it simply prints an error and stops. If you have pets, especially ones that shed a lot, you need a corded vacuum with replaceable bags and really good filtration and I’m surprised there wasn’t something like a Miele C3 Cat & Dog on this list.
Great video, thank you. Very well done amd funny too. I do wish you did more stick models because for me i just want a quick to grab cordless very lightweight long stick type on the daily. I don’t want to be breaking out the big vacuum anymore, but I certainly don’t want to spend $800 (Dyson). And the battery can not start to "suck" in 6 months like they all seem to 😊 Right now im trying to leverage my awesome milwaukee batteries (long use and crazy fast recharge and i have a lot of them), but the first big vacuum of theirs was a total fail for regular use of golden retreiver hair and wanting to be easy enough for kids to use, too big, clumsy, heavy. I just bought their compact cordless and im not sure yet, might be another fail
btw this review makes the dyson a preference. I mean, at least on my taste. But your new short is not compatible 🙁 , Which one do you actually use?
Great job the only thing I would change is that when you are talking about a specific vacuum that you should make sure that is what I am seeing on the screen. It was very confusing at times.
Kenmore has a new model with a better anti tangle brush roll fyi
Oh look fluffy fur makers!
Hello vacuum nerds from the UK! I find this so entertaining. I have bought a couple of sharks in the past, but they both have got clogged in the tube between head and wand. Do you experience this, and is there an alternative you’d suggest? I’d love cordless tbh because as you say, the best vacuum is the one you use the most.
It would be nice if they could talk a little faster.
